SAN DIEGO, July 09, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MIR3, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification (IN™) and response technology, today announced that the Greater Cincinnati Ready to Recover (R2R) organization has engaged the company’s notification software as the alert system for their VBEOC (Virtual Business Emergency Operations Center) software platform in preparation for the 2015 MLB All Star game on Tuesday, July 14, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is an annual baseball competition between top professional players from the National and the American Leagues. The event is immensely popular with fans, with attendance in the past topping 100,000. The Greater Cincinnati VBEOC was formed to provide real-time collaboration between private, public, and non-profit organizations. The VBEOC is now ready to be launched to help support the Greater Cincinnati Region with situational awareness surrounding the MLB All Star events.

Intelligent Notification from MIR3 functions as an integrated emergency alerting component within the VBEOC Web-based information-sharing platform and will be used to deliver mass broadcast notifications to VBEOC subscribers. VBEOC platform capabilities include improving disaster preparedness and response, providing situational awareness, locating local products and services, addressing critical recovery needs and returning businesses back to normal operations quickly. The R2R VBEOC provides access to a collaboration of public, private and non-profit resilience entities across the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. The R2R goal is to promote working as a community to prepare for and recover from local and regional disasters and disruptions. By engaging with R2R and responding in concert, organizers can ensure rapid, cohesive and efficient recovery efforts in case of a crisis or threat.
