Cyber Security Research and Development at Idaho National Laboratory

This presentation covered a brief overview of the INL history and mission and then emphasize the Cyber Security Research activities that have occurred over the last 12 years.  The presenters discussed INL recent efforts in securing the electric grid with the introduction of electric vehicles and their charging stations.  The integration of these vehicles and charging stations with smart grid technologies provides a new potential threat to our energy infrastructure. The presentation closed by covering our new partnership with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to aid in our efforts in providing a more secure energy infrastructure for the modern electric vehicle.
