Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center
The Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center was launched in June 2010 in response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This important partnership empowers businesses to become more resilient by creating disaster plans, communicating plans to employees and stakeholders, and exploring ways to mitigate disaster scenarios. The LABEOC educates on cybersecurity, mitigation, preparedness, and recovery while directing businesses to trusted resources.
Join our contact list to get the latest alerts, participate in disaster coordination calls, report barriers to reopening, and respond to requests. Membership is free; your information will not be used publicly. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Jim Williams, Public-Private Partnership Coordination Officer.
The partnership is led by the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the NIMSAT Institute at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Louisiana Economic Development, with NIMSAT managing daily operations.
